Day 1 Kangaluna Camp and Sturts Lake

Depart Adelaide Airport with Qantas Airlines arriving at Port Lincoln 08:45am to be met by your guide. We will drive to Wudinna, a small town of 600 people on the northern Eyre Peninsula and visit Wudinna Rock as we travel into the bush to Kangaluna Camp. After a rest at Kangaluna there is an afternoon tour to Sturts Lake to walk on the amazing coloured rocks on the old lake bed in the Corrobinnie Valley.

Day 2 Lake Gairdner and Gawler Ranges Wildlife

In the morning we head of to the spectacular Lake Gairdner, which is like a piece of Antarctica, with its glistening white salt pan set in the middle of a red landscape.

Here you can walk through the bush looking for some of the 146 species of birds recorded here. On the way back you can see emus and kangaroos (reds, western greys and euros) as we drive through the ancient outback.

Day 3 Organ Pipes Amphitheatre

This morning is leisurely and allows plenty of time to walk through the bush looking for some birds and kangaroos.

Today take a sandy track through the bush to Yandinga Valley where cigar shaped volcanic rock formations can be seen, which are 1600 million years old, the magnificent Organ Pipes Amphitheatre and lots of wildlife.

In the afternoon we travel back to the Kangaluna Camp.

Day 4 Nukey Valley

Geology is a focus this day; we visit Kolay Hut, Micira Rocks, Boundary Gorge and Nukey Valley. We will see local history, spectacular views and again more animals. Return to Wudinna or Port Lincoln at 5.00pm. (B,L)

Tour can depart from Wudinna where vehicles can be stored safely for self drivers.

Accommodation, 3 x breakfast, 4 x lunch, 3 dinners, morning and afternoon teas. Entrance fees to National Parks and passes.
Camp info

Accommodation for 3 nights at Kangaluna Camp,
Accommodation is in large raised tents with en-suite bathrooms
Families are welcome at Kangaluna camp
Queen size double beds and standard single beds are your choice.

We now have a Swagon as another accommodation option. This is an old wagon renovated with a queen double mattress made into a swag bed.

Not included: Airfares from Adelaide
We can book the Airfares, but can offer no commission and fares will be quoted at the time of booking.
